138 – No More Excuses. Just Start!

In this episode, I am going to get back to basics. I’m going to talk about what this podcast is all about: Just Starting! After 137 episodes, I have given you more than enough information to start your real estate investing career. If you haven’t started yet, then you’re missing the entire point of this podcast. If you have been reading blogs, listening to podcasts like this, and reading books for a while now, it’s time to put the materials down and put the information to action!

From time to time, it is necessary for me to take time out from educating and motivating to give you a little bit of tough love. Today is that day. I have done 137 episodes. This is number 138. I have had unbelievably successful and inspiring real estate investors on the show. They have spilled their guts about their business ranging from financing, private investing, flipping, rentals, wholesaling, spec building and more! I have had a huge range of real estate investors, from those who flip a handful of houses per year to those who flip more than 100 houses per year!

All of these guests have told you how they started their business, how they run their business, and have given you tips and strategies to follow in their footprints. They have also told you some of the mistakes that they see new real estate investors making, as well as mistakes that they made and how to avoid them.

In addition to the interviews, I have personally produced about 100 shows where I talk to you one-on-one and give you short, actionable tips and strategies that I call Quick Points, that you can take and immediately apply to your business. I have structured my podcast this way because I know that I personally have a hard time listening to an hour-long show every day. It’s difficult for me to find time to do that everyday. So, although my Monday shows are a little lengthier (usually around 45 minutes to an hour), the shows that I air Tuesday through Friday are typically shorter–about 10 to 12 minutes in length. I think this structure is good because it gives you a great interview to start the week and inspire you, and then shorter, easier to digest shows that hopefully keep you motivated throughout the week.

But all of this is doing you no good if you are not getting out there and taking action. Taking action, and, like I always say, massive action, is incredibly important to any new business venture. Just Start Real Estate was conceived and built specifically for new real estate investors and people who have a burning desire to build a real estate investing business but just need some information, motivation, and a nudge out the door. This is that nudge! Get out there get started. If you don’t know what to do I suggest you go back and listen to episodes 38-48 where I give you a “quick start” step-by-step process for getting your business going.

If you don’t care enough to get up and start taking action, no one else will either. I am here to help you every step of the way. I do that in a few different ways :

  1. This podcast: I produce this show five days a week specifically for you, to help you and your business.

  2. My coaching program: I offer a coaching program for anyone who’s interested. I personally will dive into your business with you and work one-on-one closely with you for a month and give you all of my knowledge and tools to help you succeed.

  3. Email: You can always email me and ask questions. I try to respond promptly to all emails that I receive. My coaching students get first priority, but I will get to your email and give you an answer.

It’s time for you to decide whether or not you want to be a real estate investor. I made a decision six years ago. I chose to pursue my goals and not let anything get in my way. Now I’m here to help you take that step.

The only thing left to do is to Just Start!
